an old joke in the mighty Marvel manner

Marvel's version of Wonder Woman is atrocious, but then most of Wonder Man's costumes have been dubious at best.  Gender-swapped Luke Cage looks pretty dang awesome.

  1. Oddly, Wonder Woman has had recent costume that looks a lot like Wonder Man's red-leather-jacket look.

  2. Yeah, the gender-swapped Power Man definitely has a kick-ass 70s blaxpoitation thing going on... and yet seems less sexist than the DC Power Girl's "Ooops, i forgot my logo!" design of the same era. (Though I think the Mike Grell LSH designs for the mid-1970s might be the pinnacle of cheesecake in superhero costumes...)

  4. That's "Power Lady", jive turkey!

She's the baddest one-chick hit squad to ever hit town!

(This is an actual line from a blaxploitation movie trailer I saw once. The alternate universe female version of me would probably have that catchphrase printed on her business cards...)

  9. I think there's room for a Wonder Girl somewhere but that costume looked bad on Wonder Man and switching to a girl didn't make it any better.

  10. I think I am the only human in history who liked that costume on Wonder Man. :)
